Who we are

ES4K Play is a free media player for TVs and smart devices, with a web portal (es4kplay.com) where users manage their own playlists. It is operated by an individual developer. Contact: support@es4kplay.com.

What we store

• Device identifier: the TV's MAC address when available, otherwise a random identifier generated by the app; device type, app version, interface language and last connection time.
• Device key: a 6-digit code, stored only as a one-way hash.
• Playlists the user adds: name, M3U URL or Xtream details (server, username, password), EPG URL and PIN lock. Xtream passwords are encrypted (AES-256-GCM); PINs are stored only as hashes.
• Display name the user chooses to show on the TV (optional).
• One cookie to keep the portal session. No advertising or tracking cookies.

What we do not do

• We do not provide, host or relay any channels, movies or other content. The TV connects directly to the provider the user configured.
• We do not collect viewing history. "Recently watched" and resume positions are stored only on the TV.
• No ads, no analytics, and no selling or sharing of data for marketing.

How we use data

Only to run the service: pairing the TV with the portal, delivering the user's playlists to it, and preventing abuse (e.g. rate-limiting sign-in attempts by IP address, kept in temporary memory only).

Service providers

• Vercel Inc.: hosting of the website and API
• Neon Inc.: database
• Cloudflare Inc.: DNS and support email forwarding

Data may be stored on servers outside Israel (EU and USA).

Retention and deletion

Data is kept while the device is registered. In the portal you can delete any playlist, or the whole device ("Delete device and all data"), immediately and permanently. You can also request deletion by email.

Your rights

You may request access, correction or deletion by writing to support@es4kplay.com. We respond within 30 days.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top.
